Nokia Lumia 1020 shows off first photos on Flickr

What does a photo taken by a 41-megapixel camera look like? It looks like this, as new photos confirm the hotly rumoured Nokia Lumia 1020 camera phone.

Pictures attributed to the as-yet-unconfirmed Lumia 1020 have shown up on Flickr, once again giving away the name of the phone set to be officially unveiled on Thursday.

Sadly, the pictures posted by Microsoft Windows Phone boss Joe Belfiore after completing a marathon don’t unleash the full 41-megapixel power of the 1020. Nestled amid shots from assorted Windows Phones, the two allegedly taken by the 1020 were snapped at 2,947×1,658 pixels and 2,352×1,568 pixels — that’s 4.8 megapixels and 3.7 megapixels respectively.

I’ve shrunk the image to fit this story, but if you want to see the original, just click on Joe Belfiore’s Flickr page.

Although it won’t be 100 per cent official until Thursday’s New York launch event, we’ve had more early glimpses of the 1020 than Andy Murray‘s had new balls. Our inside sources even confirm the 41-megapixel phone is coming to the UK.
