The powerful Nokia Pro Camera app from the newly unveiled Nokia Lumia 1020 is coming to the rest of Nokia’s PureView phones.
Although they only have a fraction of the 41-megapixels found in the new Lumia 1020, the app is coming to the Lumia phones branded with Nokia’s PureView camera technology. That’s the Nokia Lumia 920, the Lumia 925 and the
Lumia 928 in the US.
Pro Camera will come to those current phones when they’re updated to Amber, the next software update for Windows Phone 8.
Amber is expected to turn on the currently unused FM radio in Windows Phone 8 devices, and bring features from newer phones to older models, such as double-tapping the lock screen to wake the phone.
Pro Camera includes manual control over settings such as ISO, white balance and exposure, as well as a 4-second long shutter and various other clever features.
