The long-awaited Nexus 5 Android handset made by LG was just made official by Google. Expected to be sold in an unlocked model, the new smartphone will also hit AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile in time for the holiday season.

Specifically, Sprint will offer up the Nexus 5 for $149.99 after rebates and a two-year contract agreement. T-Mobile on the other hand also plans to sell the Nexus 5, “in the coming weeks” but no pricing has yet be announced. AT&T hasn’t disclosed it will carry the device per se, but Google has confirmed the Nexus 5 is capable of connecting properly to Ma Bell which could be a hint that the carrier indeed has a Nexus 5 model in the works.

Of course many will likely choose to scoop up the Nexus 5 unlocked through the Google Play store. The compelling smartphone starts at $349 (16GB), with a 32GB version costing $399. That’s quite a steal for an unlocked device, especially considering it’s the first phone to offer Android 4.4 KitKat. Google also confirmed that Verizon will not add the coveted phone to its roster.
