Calling its new plans “Infinite”, the just-announced capped plans start from AU$45 per month and offer unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles in Australia, as well as unlimited texts excluding messages to premium services. There are four prices in the Infinite range, with the more expensive plans offering a higher data allowance and includes value to spend on international calls each month.

The new plans, which launch on Wednesday, 17 November, can be taken on either 12- or 24-month contracts, or on a month-to-month commitment, and will be available in conjunction with Vodafone’s current range of smartphones, including Apple’s iPhone 4. As with the company’s previous capped plans, the plans with higher monthly fees will offer a greater subsidy towards the more expensive phones in the Vodafone range.

As a bonus to the included calling, messaging and data inclusions, customers who choose an Infinite plan will get unlimited access to social-networking sites Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and MySpace.

Vodafone isn’t the only Aussie telco offering unlimited calling and messaging in cap plans, Optus also offers its Timeless plans starting at AU$99 per month with 3GB of data, and Virgin has “Topless” plans with unlimited calls and 4GB of data for AU$89. TPG also offers an unlimited plan for AU$59.95 per month, but this plan is without any mobile data inclusions.
