Don’t even think about flying a drone near Super Bowl 50

Just in case you were considering flying your camera-toting quadcopter — or any other model aircraft — around Levi’s Stadium for Super Bowl 50, don’t. Just don’t.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a temporary flight restriction (TFR) prohibiting flying of unmanned aerial systems within a 32-nautical-mile radius of the big game on Sunday. The FAA even made the short video above to get its point across. The TFR starts at 2 p.m. PT and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT.

For more specific details on the Super Bowl TFR, you can hit up the FAA’s site. But, in case you’re curious about TFRs and no-fly zones in general for your area, you can download the FAA’s B4UFLY app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
