Apple CEO Tim Cook kicked off the Apple TV announcements with a powerful statement: “We believe the future of television is apps.”

The new version of the streaming video box includes a completely redesigned remote control that empowers Siri to filter searches across multiple content and apps, giving you all your viewing options on a single screen.

With Siri, you can vocalize a variety of cues to tell your Apple TV to do specific things like “show me all movies from Jason Bateman” or “Bring up that ‘Modern Family’ episode with Edward Norton,” as shown in the keynote demo.
