Golden phone, texture like sun: Samsung has launched another Android flip phone, the Samsung Galaxy Golden, with not one but two touchscreens.
That’s two 3.7-inch AMOLED screens, displaying Android 4.2. Inside is a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera with another 1.9 megapixel on the front.
It’s only in South Korea though, so no reliving your Matrix fantasies here in Blighty.
The Golden joins another Android flip phone, the Samsung SCH-W789 Hennessy, which is now available in China. That sports a 3.3-inch, 320×480-pixel screen on the outside, and another one on the inside when you flip it open, along with a traditional numeric keypad. Inside is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel camera.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a flip phone in these parts — such old-school design died a death pretty much as soon as the iPhone came along and made the slab-like touchscreen phone de rigeur.
