As many of you know, the HTC Evo 4G goes on sale June 4 at Sprint stores and other retailers nationwide, including Best Buy and Wal-Mart. There’s a lot of excitement and anticipation for the nation’s first 4G phone and rightfully so, but it’s hard to tell whether there will be huge lines, but RadioShack isn’t taking any chances.
The electronics retailer said Wednesday that it will open its doors as early as 6 a.m. at some of its retail locations to help preorder customers activate and set up their phones. In addition, if you arrive early, RadioShack will give you an additional 15 percent discount on accessories on top of the $20 accessory credit when you preordered the phone.
If you didn’t get a chance to preorder the Android superphone, don’t worry. RadioShack has set aside a number of devices for walk-in customers, and though you won’t get the deal on accessories, you will be able to get the phone for $199.99 (with a new or upgrading two-year contract) without having to deal with the mail-in rebate.
Before you head out, though, just be aware that not all RadioShack stores will be open at 6 a.m., so be sure to call ahead to your local store.
