Although the original link has since been removed, a cached version remains online. Based on the leaked specifications, we could be looking for a plastic-clad smartphone with hardware that puts the phone in the middle of the pack.
Powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6, the so-called Desire 620 is rumored to have a 5-inch 720p display. Under the hood we could expect a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage.
In terms of cameras, the leak shows an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Rounding things out, the phone could have a removable 2,100mAh battery, a microSD expansion slot, and dual front-facing speakers.
It isn’t clear as to how soon HTC might introduce the Desire 620; however we’re only a month away from the new year and a new season of smartphone announcements. On the other hand, HTC tends to downplay its non-flagship launches, so this could be a quiet release. Judging by the retail-ready press render, that could happen any day.
