Motorola announces three new Droid Razrs for Verizon

Motorola must believe that good things come in threes. Earlier today, the Google-owned handset-maker pulled the tarp off of not one, but three rumored handsets to extend its flashy Droid Razr family: the Droid Razr HD, the Droid Razr Maxx HD, and the Droid Razr M.

All three of the 4G LTE phones will start with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the year’s end. They also feature an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording and playback, and a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The trio comes with Smart Actions and NFC, and ships with Chrome as the default Web browser.

Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD
Like the Droid Razr Maxx before it, the new-and-improved Razr Maxx HD looks almost identical to its predecessor, and to the Droid Razr HD.

Its even larger 3,300mAh battery promises 32 hours of normal use before a charge, 13 hours of video playback, and up to 21 hours of continuous talk time. It’ll handle 8 hours of 4G LTE browsing, we’re promised.

The Razr Maxx also has a 32GB storage capacity. It’ll come in black.

Motorola Droid Razr M
This Razr fits a 4.3-inch display with a qHD resolution (540×960 pixels) into a smaller size thanks to its edge-to-edge screen that keeps the phone’s bezel nice and narrow. The idea is that you maximize your screen real estate without having to sacrifice the smaller footprint.

The Droid Razr M is available September 13 for $99.99, with preorders starting today for both white and black colors.
