Hot on the heels of LG’s launch event today, the newly announced LG G4 is picking up wide carrier support in the US. Both Sprint and US Cellular have pledged that they will begin carrying the device in June.
The former will offer the handset in metallic gray and black leather. Sprint customers can already pre-register to purchase the phone, with a chance to win one for free.
AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon will also sell the device, though no timeline has been announced as of yet.
Pricing has not been released either, but LG says that the G4 will be priced similar to its predecessor, the G3 when it first launched. That means we can expect it to cost about $200 with a contract, and about $600 without a carrier agreement. Other retailers, such as Amazon and Best Buy, have also signed on to sell the handset.
LG’s latest flagship is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 processor, an upgraded 16-megapixel camera, and a 5.5-inch display with an ultra-crisp 1440p resolution. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with LG’s latest UX 4.0 user interface on top. Before its rollout in the US, it will launch first in Korea on April 29.
