Benchmarks allegedly found on the AnTuTu website indicate that the Ascend Mate 3 may punch things up in a few key areas. While the display figures to be the same 6.1-inch size as the current model, the Mate 3’s alleged 1080p resolution is sharper than the 720p screen in the Ascend Mate 2 4G . The pixel difference would be much more noticeable in the larger displays.
Another noteworthy change could come in the processor, which is rumored to be Huawei’s own octacore Kirin 920 CPU. What’s more, the Ascend Mate 3 could boast 3GB RAM; both are a significant improvement over the Snapdragon 400 and 2GB combination found in the previous model.
According to G4Games, the Chinese hardware maker is set introduce the Ascend Mate 3 in September. With IFA kicking off the first week of the month, the annual conference may prove to be the platform for an announcement.
