As the subject of plenty of whispers earlier in the year, the so-called HTC One M8
Max/ Prime was thought to be put out to pasture.
Reborn reports suggest that the smartphone could feature a 5.5-inch 2,560×1,440-pixel display and an 18-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. Powered by Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.5, other hardware could include a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. Allegedly, HTC will build the phone out of an aluminum composite.
Given that this is but one report of the HTC One M8 Max, we should tread very lightly. It’s worth noting that we haven’t seen any benchmarks or leaked images to corroborate the rumors. HTC has already released multiple versions of its One M8 this year, but yet none of them are of supersize dimensions, while Apple has recently moved into ‘phablet’ territory with the iPhone 6 Plus .
