HTC Jetstream 10.1

The long-rumored HTC Puccini tablet is finally landing at AT&T on September 4 as the HTC Jetstream, but prepare yourself for some sticker shock.

The Jetstream will cost $699.99 with a two-year contract, and for the price, you’re getting AT&T’s first 4G LTE tablet and the carrier’s first Android 3.1 Honeycomb device. AT&T’s LTE network is expected to go live in five markets this summer, but the tablet is compatible with carrier’s HSPA+ network.

The Jetstream also offers a 10.1-inch WXGA HD touch screen, Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. The tablet features HTC’s Sense user experience and can be used with the HTC Scribe digital pen. AT&T is offering the accessory at no additional cost for a limited time.

Though the Jetstream sounds like a perfectly fine tablet, the exorbitant price tag is really off-putting. I don’t understand the logic in pricing the tablet so high. What do you guys think? Is anyone thinking of buying this?
