How to make a Nokia phone look cool: Put it in a mac ‘n’ cheese ad

You’re sitting in a meeting discussing a mac ‘n’ cheese ad.

It’s tense and exciting. The ad is going to be fun. It’s an ad in which a man betrays his pregnant wife.

Yes, it’s a Kraft Macaroni and Cheese ad, but this is the modern world. We have to show a modern family.

The meeting is deciding which phones the couple uses to communicate. iPhones are a little old hat. And Apple would probably want a fortune for you to use one in the ad.

Nokia Lumia phones, on the other hand, are very fetching. And, for inclusion in a quite amusing ad, perhaps they don’t fetch quite the same price. If any. They’ll even let you use a Lumia 928 and 920 in the same ad.

So here we have the finished product.

The husband is downstairs with his son. His heavily pregnant wife craves some Macaroni and Cheese. She is lying on her bed, presumably upstairs.

More Technically Incorrect

The husband will do his duty. The phone will too.

But then the husband realizes he is weak of flesh and even weaker of mind. He ends up lying to his wife. Not to her face, you understand, but through his Lumia.

It’s quite funny in a family kind of way, and it surely presents an inviting showcase for the Lumia phones.

Nokia and Microsoft have tried hard to make the Lumias enticing, even by suggesting that iPhone and Galaxy owners are thoroughly brainless.

But any amount of positive aura surely helps.

I have a feeling, though, that in the sequel to this ad, life with this husband’s Lumia will become a touch gloomier.
