Google is ready to play with PayPal. On Thursday, it announced a number of changes to the Play Store, including integrating PayPal as a method of payment in addition to your credit card, carrier billing, and a gift card.

Starting Thursday, customers in 12 countries can use their PayPal accounts to buy apps, games, music, and movies through the Google Play Store. Since two-thirds of all Google Play sales happen outside of the United States, Google hopes this PayPal move opens the door to even more revenue or their store.
Countries that can take advantage of PayPal integration include: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, the US, and the UK.
Google is quick to point out in its support pages that PayPal cannot be used to purchase devices or accessories.
In addition to turning on PayPal, Google also signs on seven new markets to carrier billing (including Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan), for a total of 24 regions across the globe. Gift cards are now offered in 13 countries, including Germany and Japan.
Google also expanded support to the number of countries which can sell apps in Google Play, as well as the number of currencies the store now supports. Sorry, pooches. Dogecoin didn’t make the list.
