Commonly referred to as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Verizon’s version is known here as Advanced Calling 1.0.
Once installed, the Droid Turbo will be capable of HD Voice and Video Calling. Additionally, the update allows for simultaneous voice and data connections.
It’s worth noting that the HD Voice and Video Calling only works if both parties on the call have Advanced Calling. As of today, the list of compatible devices is only nine deep.
It’s expected to to deploy in phases, but you can also manually trigger the software update. Navigate to Settings > System Updates > Check for System Updates to push things through quicker.
