Microsoft Lumia 650 landing May 23 for just AU$299

Microsoft’s lower-end Lumia 650 is now available for pre-order in Australia before arriving in retail on May 23. The phone will cost AU$299 and will be available from the Microsoft store as well as JB Hi-Fi, Big W, The Good Guys and even Australia Post.

Announced back in February, the 650 has a 5-inch 1,280×720-pixel AMOLED screen, an 8-megapixel camera and a quad-core processor. The new phone comes in a nice metal-edge design that’s missing from the more expensive (yet all-plastic) Lumia family members.

Sadly, the device is missing some of the better features from the Windows Phone operating system, such as Continuum, and the lack of a USB-C port means you won’t be able to use the Microsoft Display Dock.
