LG’s latest smartphone, the G2, is expected to launch Wednesday at an event in New York City.
The smartphone maker has been preparing for the big debut for more than a month. The new phone, which is the next flagship device for the company, drops the Optimus branding for the new “G premium brand.”
While the company hasn’t revealed all the details of the new device yet, it has been leaking tidbits of information. And many expect the new device to use a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and come with 2GB RAM.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 7, at Lincoln Center in New York, at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT. CNET will be there to cover all the details with a live blog, pictures and of course a hands-on video. Be sure to check back about half-hour before the event begins for the live blog.
