Press shots of the new LG Prada smart phone (also known as the Prada Phone 3.0, the Prada K2 or the P940) have leaked, ahead of the phone’s official unveiling this evening. Ogle them by pointing your eyes up ever so slightly.
The images, acquired by PocketNow, show a mobile that looks disappointingly like every other smart phone in the world — a shiny black rectangle. But fashionistas may be appeased by the textured finish across the back, and we reckon that dink in the bottom-left of the back plate is designed to hold a charm.
This leaked snap also hints that the phone’s Android interface could have been given a radical black-and-white makeover.
We desperately hope that noir-themed styling is present when LG lifts the lid later — while we’re fond of a splash of colour, we think those deep black and grey backgrounds actually look really cool, and the wireframe icons are rather chic too.
More than the actual chassis, a refined, unique interface could be what makes this blower a proper fashion phone.
Nothing is known about the specs, though this phone is rumoured to be packing a 4.3-inch display and an 8-megapixel camera. Based on the press shot above, it looks as though it’ll ship running Android Gingerbread, rather than Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is the latest version.
We’ll know more soon enough, so stay tuned. In the meantime tell us whether you’re intrigued in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
