If you’re living in the US, you may already have heard the news that the LG G Watch is set to arrive on July 11, with pre-orders starting today. But if you’re living elsewhere, such as Canada, France, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, India, Japan, South Korea, UK and Australia, the good news is that the smartwatch can be purchased online from the Google Play Store as well as from retailers.
Besides the above twelve countries (including the US), fifteen other countries including Brazil, Mexico, Russia, New Zealand and Singapore (the other ten were not disclosed in LG’s official press release), will be able to get their hands on the smartwatch from retailers. It will launch in Singapore on July 26 for S$268 and costs $229 in the US (£159 in the UK, and AU$249 in Australia)
The LG G Watch made its debut late last month at Google’s I/O 2014 event, and comes powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor, with a 1.65-inch LCD display, and a 280×280-pixel resolution.
The smartwatch is compatible with phones running Android 4.3 or higher, and has an always-on display, and interchangeable straps.
