LG B looks like thinnest Android smart phone ever

LG is bringing its Android A-game with the leak of a super-slim phone codenamed the LG B — just a day after news of the world’s first dual-core phone, the LG Optimus 2X.

Leaked photos of the LG B show it’s slimmer than the wafer-like iPhone 4, currently the the world’s thinnest smart phone at 9.3mm.

The blurry-handed tipster also reportedly told the Phandroid blog that the LG B has a 4-inch LCD screen, with brightness that could make the Samsung Galaxy S‘ insanely bright screen look as dim as a torch shone from the Moon.

As of yet, there’s no news as to whether the B will have a dual-core Tegra 2 processor like the Optimus 2X, or what version of Android it will use, but we expect Android 2.2 Froyo, since that’s what’s going to be on the 2X.

LG is letting it all hang out at CES in Las Vegas in January, and we’ll be there to get our hands on the Optimus 2X and the B — or Optimus something-or-other, as it’s sure to be called by then.

LG’s CES Twitter feed confirmed the LG B is real and it will be making an appearance at CES, but the tweet has since been removed. Nevertheless, we’re confident the cat is out of the bag on this phone — and the account is still retweeting other people’s news about the B.
