PC-maker Lenovo has joined the growing list of companies rumoured to be considering buying out beleaguered phone-maker BlackBerry.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Lenovo has signed a non-disclosure agreement to look at BlackBerry’s financials.
BlackBerry has been quite open about wanting a buyer, and back in March, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said that the company would be interested in exploring a deal if the market was right.
Lenovo does make its own range of smartphones, but these don’t have much traction outside of China. The BlackBerry brand could allow the company to access new markets around the globe.
Of course, Lenovo’s Chinese ownership may create some issues given BlackBerry’s government contracts in both its home of Canada and south of the border in the US.
BlackBerry does have an offer on the table from Fairfax Financial, but this is yet to be finalised.
