A trio of of images hitting the Internet on Thursday seemingly confirm that a Motorola X Phone is in the works for AT&T.

The three photos, which come from oft-reliable Twitter source @evleaks, show a smartphone (or smartphones) that somewhat resembles previously leaked photos. Bearing the name “Blackboxed Motorola for AT&T,” it appears to be the same handset found in a batch of images that have since been removed from a Vietnamese site. Unfortunately, there’s nary a specification or detail to accompany the pics.
It may be of little significance, but I noticed that the Motorola icon appears to change from shot to shot. What’s more, the top right of screen in each photo either is blocked by a reflection or is blurred out. The bezel looks pretty thick, as well (or maybe that’s a case).
As to what this could all mean, your guesses are as good as mine. On one hand, we might be looking at an edge-to-edge screen or expanded screen. On the other hand, it’s entirely possible that these are three separate models being tested in the wild. Also of note: the familiar Jelly Bean icon can be found in the notification bar.
The leaks and rumors are fast and furious for the X Phone as of late; yesterday gave way to newly leaked benchmarks. It’s probably no coincidence, but the benchmarks were for a Motorola device running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Are these two tied together? I get the feeling we’ll find out soon enough.
With chatter of multiple carriers in line to offer the X Phone(s), I suspect this could be the general form factor. Assuming Motorola follows Samsung’s and HTC’s, we may see one design across each wireless provider.
