A very exciting tablet could launch on Tuesday. No, I’m not talking about the new iPad, but a Windows tablet from Nokia.

CNET is in Abu Dhabi to cover Nokia World, a daylong conference to promote Nokia’s latest products. The main action happens at the press conference, which starts at 11 a.m. in the UAE. We’ll be live blogging and live streaming the conference, opening it up 15 minutes before it kicks off, so make sure you save this link and come back at 7:45 a.m. UK time, 2:45 p.m. in Singapore or 2:45 a.m. ET to follow the whole thing as it happens.

With a new version of Windows Phone announced last week, it seems safe to assume that we’re going to see new Lumias using the new features it offers. Taken tethered with a leaked picture of the Lumia 1520, that means a 6-inch Lumia is a shoo-in, probably with a 1080p resolution and the quad-core processor made possible with an updated Windows Phone.

Also possible is a Nokia’s long-rumoured tablet. The company has often said it’s working on one and this could be the event it finally shows its face. I’m guessing Nokia would pick Windows RT to run on the device, which would put it in direct competition with Microsoft’s own Surface 2 tablet.

As Nokia is in the process of being purchased by Microsoft, there’s a chance its soon-to-be owners may have pressured Nokia into dropping the product altogether, but given the lead times involved in making such a device, that seems unlikely. Perhaps we’ll find out for sure on Tuesday.

Six devices in total are rumoured to pop up at this press conference, and not much has leaked about what else to expect, but one possibility is a bunch of Asha models. Asha is the brand Nokia uses for cheap mobiles with basic smartphone functions.

Whatever happens, CNET will provide you with up-to-the-second news, pictures, and video of everything that’s announced. Check back here on Tuesday, and let me know in the comments below what you’re hoping to see.
