Jabra Supreme has active noise cancellation

Jabra has announced the Jabra Supreme, which promises to be the first mono Bluetooth headset to have active noise cancellation. The technology is similar to the noise cancellation we’ve seen in high-end Bose and Audio-Technica wired headsets, where it actively blocks out noise by generating an “antinoise” sound.

The Supreme incorporates other technologies like Noise Blackout 3.0 and wind-noise reduction to reduce noise on the other end of the call. It has a boom arm that flips, letting you power the headset on and off just by flicking it open and close. Jabra promises an adjustable ear hook and several comfortable ear cushions.

Jabra also introduced the Extreme 2, which is not quite as advanced, but it still features Jabra’s aforementioned Noise Blackout technology, HD Voice, and Voice Guidance, which tells the user various information like caller ID, battery level, and more. The Extreme 2 ships with a portable car charger that doubles as a headset holder.

The Jabra Supreme will be available starting October for $99; the Jabra Extreme 2 will be in stores for $79.
