Apple Stores and other shops across the country are throwing their doors open early tomorrow for the launch of the new iPad Air.
The slimline Apple tablet goes on sale tomorrow, 1 November, and shops will open from 8am for you to buy the tablet just with Wi-Fi, or with 3G and 4G too.
As the chilly fingers of the dawn light feel up sleepy commuters, the Apple Store Covent Garden and John Lewis on Oxford Street are among the shops opening bright and early to keen technology fans. 29 John Lewis stores around the country will open early, including Nottingham, Newcastle, and others that don’t begin with N — check out John Lewis’s page to see if your nearby store is opening early. Carphone Warehouse on Tottenham Court Road in London will also open at 8am.
The 9.7-inch iPad Air weighs just 1lb (454g), half the weight of the current model. It starts at £399 without 3G and 4G — click here for the full line-up of SIM-free iPad Air UK prices.
The major phone networks are also selling the tablet with data connection and a data contract. Vodafone and EE have already launched 4G, with Three selling the iPad this week and launching 4G before the end of the year at no extra cost.
