iOS 4.3.2 is the latest update to Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

It’s time to update your iThings, folks. iOS 4.3.2, the latest software for Apple’s mobile devices is now available to give your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch an extra-tasty shot of Apple juice.

Improvements include new security updates, while it also fixes a couple of problems. The update takes care of occasional glitches in the FaceTime video calling software that led to frozen video. And owners of the iPad 2 should no longer have problems with connection to 3G networks.

There’s no mention, sadly, of the problem with the iPhone’s alarm that’s caused owners around the world to oversleep when the clocks change.

In the US, owners of the Verizon iPhone, which works on a different type of mobile phone network called CDMA, get a slightly different update, iOS 4.2.7.

Inevitably, the update has already been cracked by hackers. Using PwnageTool 4.3 you can jailbreak your updated iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod Touch, but the iPad 2 and unlocked iPhones haven’t yet been cracked. As always, proceed at your own risk.

The update will spruce up your iPad and iPad 2, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and third and fourth-generation iPod touch. The update is 614MB in size, and can be downloaded next time you plug your gadget into your computer.
