Crowdsourcing campaigns on Indiegogo and Kickstarter continue to give birth to new tech products, like the Nextbit Robin phone and this motorized suitcase you can ride like a scooter. Joining them soon is a Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet-laptop hybrid dubbed the Eve V.
Launching on Indiegogo November 21, the LTE-optional hybrid uses an Intel processor and supports an e-pen. While Eve hasn’t officially announced all the specs and prices, it does hope to undercut current models by selling directly to customers online. The company says its hybrid, in addition to being cheaper, will slash bloatware found in other devices, making it operate faster.
Eve also announced on its site that chipmaker Intel invested in the project. Intel hasn’t responded to CNET’s request for confirmation on how much it’s invested.
The Eve V will sell on a small scale, with only 500 devices at first, and it will ship globally to buyers.
