HTC updates Windows Phone 7 hub

Though Microsoft curbed OEM’s abilities to customize Windows Phone 7, HTC is still finding ways to add its own, useful touches to the software.

Most recently, the handset manufacturer updated its HTC Hub to include weather information on its live tile. This means that you’ll be able to glance at the Start screen and see weather information (current and forecast) for a user-defined location without having to launch the HTC Hub first.

The update is available now from the HTC channel in the Windows Phone Marketplace. The two HTC Windows Phone 7 devices currently available in the U.S. are the HTC Surround for AT&T and the HTC HD7 for T-Mobile.
