Could this be HTC’s next high

We may have just seen the newest flagship phone from HTC. Photos of the company’s next smartphone, dubbed the HTC 10, have appeared on Twitter Friday.

From Twitter account @OnLeaks, we see a prototype phone that looks to have a fingerprint scanner, dedicated menu and back buttons, a matte black design and a USB Type-C charging port.

The tweet claims the phone has a 5.15-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 graphics chip, 4GB RAM and a 12-megapixel camera. It’s a convincing-looking prototype that doesn’t stray too far from HTC’s typical phone design.

Even more convincing, @OnLeaks tweeted a photo of the phone’s name on the screen, which shows it as HTC 10.Longtime tipster @Evleaks responded to @OnLeaks’ tweet with a promotional photo of the alleged HTC 10, showing a very similar design, but with a silver and white finish.

The leaks come a few weeks after Samsung announced its newest flagship, the Galaxy S7, at Mobile World Congress 2016. HTC had plenty to show off at the conference in Barcelona last month, but there was no flagship phone in sight.

There’s no word on when HTC will debut a new phone, but it’s looking like the HTC 10 is real and coming soon.
