Google+ Local for iOS heads to junk heap on August 7

Google+ Local for iOS is being tossed out next month.

The search giant sent out an e-mail to current users of its iOS app saying the service will no longer be available as of August 7, 2013. The move isn’t all that surprising, considering the company recently integrated Local’s features into its Google Maps app for iOS.
