If you’re after an unlocked quad-core Galaxy S4, then this is the cheapest deal we’ve seen so far.
The RRP on Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is AU$899 if you buy one from the Samsung Store or AU$816 if you walk into a Telstra store.
Kogan is currently selling the S4 for AU$699, but with a big caveat: it’s the i9500 model, meaning you get the “octa-core” Exynos chipset, but no LTE access. That might be great if you’re a Vodafone customer or desperate for extra processing power, but Telstra and Optus users may miss the network speeds. You can read more on the differences between the chipsets here.
Kogan does have the i9505 model, with LTE capability and the Snapdragon quad-core processor, as well, but it’s listed for AU$749.
Millennius, on the other hand, has the i9505 version for AU$669. It’s unlocked, obviously, with 16GB of memory, and it has both the black and white versions. Shipping in Australia is a flat rate of AU$19, bringing to total price to AU$688.
We’re not sure how long the deal will go for or how many models are in stock, so if you’re keen, take a look now.
