Good news for monochrome-averse Brits — Samsung’s enormous Galaxy Note 3 smart phone can now be yours in two extra colour schemes.
Omio, then Unwired View reported that Carphone Warehouse is now selling the Note 3 in the basically-named ‘red’ and ‘gold’ options, that were first announced in early December.
The gold version is in fact, the ‘rose gold white’ variant. Samsung is at pains to point our that “only the sides of the phone are rose gold, the front and back are white”, so stow those hopes of a glowing, bullion-hued Note 3.
The red version meanwhile is officially dubbed ‘Merlot Red’. Samsung also announced a ‘rose gold black’ version back in December, but that one doesn’t appear to be available from the ‘Warehouse yet. I’ve contacted the retailer to ask whether more colours are incoming, and I’ll update this story when I hear back.
The Note 3 is — as the name suggests — the third edition of Samsung’s enormous Galaxy Note line of smart phones. It offers a gigantic 5.7-inch display, as well as a 13-megapixel camera and a shockingly speedy 2.3GHz quad-core processor.
The Note 3 was revealed alongside Samsung’s Gear smart watch, back in autumn of last year. All eyes are now on Samsung’s 24 February ‘Unpacked’ event, where we’re all-but-certain to get a glimpse of the long-awaited Galaxy S5.
