Back in early 2013 — long before the official Apple announcement in late 2014 — we polled CNET readers about whether they would want to buy an Apple Watch. Back then, we still called it the “iWatch.” The results split out pretty evenly between “yes,” “no” and “maybe.” But the nopers still came out on top at 34 percent.
A lot has changed since then. Apple Watch details came pouring out last month during the official introduction event. Preorders start today and the smartwatch will be released on April 24.

CNET’s review of the Apple Watch reveals a mix of positives and negatives. On one hand, it sports a beautiful design, solid construction and tons of apps. On the other hand, the battery life is pretty woeful, it’s expensive and the interface isn’t as intuitive as it should be. It also requires an iPhone 5 or later, which automatically narrows down the potential audience for the watch.
Now you know more about the Apple Watch, are you planning to buy one? Perhaps you wanted one from the moment you heard Apple was working on the project, and you still plan to make good on that gadget lust. Perhaps you were skeptical, but now are considering giving it a chance. Perhaps your early enthusiasm has been dampened by the initial round of hands-on reviews. Maybe you never wanted one in the first place. Vote in our poll and share your thoughts in the comments.
