I like driving in my car. It’s not quite a Jaguar — but the Internet takes flight while you’re driving thanks to the new EE Buzzard 2 4G Wi-Fi dongle.

The Buzzard 2 costs £80 up front or is free if you sign up to a mobile data contract of £15 or more. It comes with a free 100MB of data each month, and is available on monthly mobile broadband plans starting from £10. If you’re already on a 4GEE mobile Shared plan, you can add the Buzzard for £8 per month.

The Buzzard 2 is available to business and regular customers from EE shops, over the phone and online right now.

The first Buzzard took wing this summer, and the Buzzard 2 improves on the design by combining the original model’s two pieces into one. Packing 128MB of flash memory and 128MB of RAM, the Buzzard 2 plugs into your car’s dashboard and also works as a USB charger for your phones and tablets as you drive.

The Buzzard is one of EE’s bird-brained own-brand devices: the original left the nest alongside the EE Eagle 8-inch tablet — a rebadged Huawei MediaPad M1 — and the Osprey and Kite hotspot dongles. EE also sells the wallet-friendly EE Kestrel 4G smartphone.
