Hawkins’ startup, If You Can Company, raised $6.5 million in a Series A funding round led by venture-capital firm Greylock Partners, the company confirmed to TechCrunch on Wednesday. Almaz Capital also participated in the round.

If You Can Company’s game, called If…, is designed for children and aims at improving their emotional intelligence with social and emotional learning techniques. Hawkins is perhaps best known as the founder of Electronic Arts and is viewed as one of the most prominent figures in the gaming industry. His latest venture is available now in Apple’s App Store.
