EA app sale: 99

Back in February, EA Mobile (along with a few other publishers) held a huge sale on iOS games. Good news: it’s sale time once again, and this time Android users are getting some discount love as well.

From now until Monday, April 25, three dozen games in EA’s catalog–including some recent titles that weren’t available last time–are on sale for 99 cents each.

Update: It turns out the Android games are $1.99 each. EA’s extremely misleading press release and promotional banners (like the one at right) made no mention of this. Dumb, dumb move, EA.

Update #2 (4/23): I’ve received word from EA that they’ve fixed their landing page to reflect the proper pricing of Android games.

Here, in no particular order, is the list, starting with the iOS stuff. Where applicable, I’ve linked to relevant CNET coverage of the game.

Sadly, the just-released NBA Jam for iPad is still priced at $9.99. If you can wait, I’m willing to bet it’ll be 99 cents the next time EA has a sale. (Either way, I highly recommend getting a Fling Joystick to go with it.)

The selection isn’t quite as extensive on the Android side, but what’s there is good:

  • Monopoly
  • Tetris
  • Need For Speed Shift
  • The Game of Life
  • Sims 3
  • Worms
  • FIFA 10
  • Bejeweled 2

Note that you have to purchase these games via EA Mobile’s Android site; you won’t find the sale prices in Android Market

Well, what do you think? Which games are worth grabbing for a buck? My top picks: Dead Space (particularly the iPad version) and Fight Night Champion. Tell me yours in the comments!
