Dolphin has enhanced its free mobile browser for Android users with a few neat twists.
Launched Thursday in the Google Play store, Dolphin Browser version 10 sports a cleaner and simpler interface. Swiping from the left provides access to your bookmarks or history list. Swiping from the right lets you look for add-ons, jump to full-screen view, and share your current page with people on the same wireless network.
You can easily customize the Dolphin home screen to populate it with icons, or speed dials, that link to your favorite Web sites and apps. You can change the order of the speed dials by dragging and dropping them and even place them into folders to better organize them.
Typing a search query directly in the URL field lets you search directly within Amazon, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, or Facebook. You can also tap into any one of five search engines, including Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Yandex.
Finally, you can once again view Adobe Flash content in Dolphin’s browser. Swiping the Dolphin icon in the lower left corner displays a menu at the bottom through which you can access Settings. From there, tap on the Web Content option and turn on the switch for Flash Player.
Dolphin is a well-designed and robust alternative to other Android browsers, such as Chrome. The latest changes make it all the more appealing.
