The Dark Knight Rises is coming to iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Keep reading to check out the first trailer to the official iOS and Android movie tie-in game, arriving this summer.
In the bat-game, you take on the bat-mantle of the Caped Crusader, beating seven shades of bat-guano out of assorted wrong-uns in a 3D Gotham City — mainly headbutting their villainous tendencies into their socks, if the game trailer is to be believed.

The Dark Knight Rises is the third Batman movie from director Christopher Nolan, following Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Christian Bale is back as traumatised orphan turned millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, who moonlights as the world’s greatest detective — which mostly involves croaking at people while dressed in fetish gear.
Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman return from the previous films, with Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy joining the cast as the villainous Catwoman and Bane. Look out too for Aiden Gillen from The Wire, Burn Gorman from Torchwood, and Christopher Judge from Stargate SG-1.
Oh, and Tom Conti.
The game is made by Gameloft for iOS and Android. And where can you get this wonderful toy? From the iTunes Store or Google Play, of course.
Ironically, you won’t find the game on Windows Phone — which means you won’t be able to play it on your Batman-branded Nokia Lumia 900. It seems Windows Phone is the operating system the game deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
The Dark Knight Rises hits cinemas and IMAX on 20 July. Have you got your bat-tickets? Bat-cinema or bat-IMAX? Tell me your thoughts in the bat-comments or on our Facebook bat-page.
