Crave app back up and running, CNET UK issues sincere app

Crave’s dinky little iPhone app is working perfectly once more, delivering timely and amusing tech nonsense to your mobile, after a short period of, er, brokenness.

Here’s what happened: there was a small problem with the podcast and that broke the feed to our app over Easter. The bad data (bad data! No cookie for you) was cached and took 24 hours to refresh, which compounded the problem. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

We’ve fixed the specific problem that caused the feed to break and the app is working fine now, we promise.

The app lets you read all the great stuff we put in the Crave section, watch Crave videos, listen to our podcast and browse our photo galleries with a swipe of your finger. It makes it easier to read all our stories and navigate between them on a small screen, or concentrate only on the categories you want info on.

If you load the most recent stories before you leave home, you can read the full posts even without a data connection. Astonishingly, it’s free.

The app works on iPhones, iPod touches and iPads that run iOS version 3.1 or later. You can find out more about the app on this page, but you might as well just head over to Apple’s App Store and download it for free now. Leave a review and let us know what you think.
