If you’re one of the more than one million customers who preordered an Apple Watch and your hardware shows up today, you’re in luck: if you’ve updated the CNET app on your iPhone, you already have access to the CNET Apple Watch app.
The app is simple. Once you’ve set it up (you’ll need to download the CNET iPhone app if you haven’t already), you can browse CNET technology headlines and rated tech reviews, explore photo galleries and save articles and videos to watch later on a larger screen. We’ve designed around the watch hardware, so you can use glances and notifications to alert users to breaking and relevant tech news. The CNET Apple Watch app is free, of course, and even includes an edition for CNET en Español, CNET’s Spanish-language site.

CNET’s app is one of hundreds of apps that have developed a watch extension, so there’s a lot more to play with from other developers, too. We’ve hand-picked a selection of all the Apple Watch apps you should consider setting up on your new watch. And we’re going to do a solid for our corporate siblings and mention their first Apple Watch apps, too — don’t miss the TV Guide app, with easy info on what’s new on TV tonight as well as the CBS Sports and CBS Sports Fantasy apps, two separate apps on the watch that help you stay up to date with your teams.
