Starting December, the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 will be available on prepaid plans through Boost with an upfront cost of AU$299. This price includes the handset and starting credit, but also 12 months unlimited access to web browsing, email and chatting via BlackBerry Messenger. The fineprint of the contract states that this deal is only available on a BlackBerry Super Cap, but the monthly cost of this cap is yet to be announced.

Update: We received word that the BlackBerry Super Cap is identical to Boost’s currently available Super Cap, which includes rates like AU$300 call value for an AU$30 recharge. Boost also informed us that customers are not required to pay a monthly commitment to maintain the 12 months of free data through BlackBerry services; however, it will not be available when the user does not have remaining call credit.
