BlackBerry Torch II, Storm 3 and Bold Touch join the RIM leak parade

RIM’s BlackBerry roadmap is leakier than the Mary Rose right now. Late last month, its plans for 2011 were splashed across the Web, and now there are specific leaks for what appear to be the BlackBerry Torch II, the BlackBerry Storm 3 and the BlackBerry Bold Touch.

Taking them in order, then…  The Torch II appears to have been confirmed in RIM’s own UAProf documents, as outlined by BerryReview. It claims the handset’s full name will be the BlackBerry Torch II 9810, and that it will have a VGA 480×640-pixel screen while running BlackBerry OS 6.1.

Other specs include a 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of storage and 512MB of RAM, GPS, NFC and a 5-megapixel camera with flash, as well as a width of 14.6mm.

The BlackBerry Storm 3 is also out in the open, thanks to a video posted on YouTube that seems to show the device, which under its codename of Monaco has been the subject of rumours since mid-January. The device in the video is labelled as an evaluation unit, and has the logo of operator Verizon Wireless on the back.

Here’s the video:

CrackBerry offers up a list of specs for the Storm 3, including a 1.2GHz processor, 3.7-inch, 800×480-pixel screen, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of storage and 768MB of RAM, BlackBerry 6.1 OS, GPS and NFC.

Finally, there are spy shots of the BlackBerry Bold Touch on the loose, which is codenamed Dakota. It has a familiar design, with a well-spaced keyboard, a 2.8-inch VGA-resolution screen, a 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of storage, 768MB of RAM and NFC.

Actually, the inclusion of NFC in all three handsets is interesting,
indicating that RIM is getting behind the mobile payments and
communications standard at a time when Google (with Android) and
reportedly Apple (with iPhone 5) are also backing NFC.
