Step aside, Z10 — there’s a new BlackBerry flagship smartphone in town.

BlackBerry has lifted the lid on its Z30, which it is calling the “biggest, fastest, most advanced BlackBerry”.
The “biggest” is referring to the 5-inch AMOLED display with 1280×720 resolution and possibly its fairly hefty 170g.
The “fastest” is the 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with the quad-core Adreno 320 GPU, backed up with 2GB of RAM.
Finally, the “most advanced” is the fact that the Z30 will come with the latest 10.2 version of BlackBerry OS. This version features, apparently, better message handling, including a Priority Hub — a streamlined version of the BlackBerry Hub from the Z10 and Q10.
The big battery also deserves a mention — it’s 2880mAh, but BlackBerry is claiming that with BBOS 10.2 you can get a 25 hours of “standard mixed use” from a single charge.
There’s no call on Australian release dates or pricing — at the moment BlackBerry will launch the Z30 in the UK and the Middle East next week, with other regions “into the holiday season”.
We’d assume that Telstra will be the initial carrier of choice, based on BlackBerry’s past history, with others coming on board later.
