BlackBerry Curve 9370 review: A tough sell

If you’re strictly comparing the BlackBerry Curve 9370 to what came before, then the update for Verizon is an absolute knockout.

It runs BlackBerry 7 OS, and has a lovely 5-megapixel camera and 1GB of internal storage in addition to its expandable slot, and–a hidden bonus–it has a SIM card slot for easily transitioning the handset to a GSM network outside the U.S.

Unfortunately, the 3G-capable Curve 9370 has its drawbacks. It will prove too small for some, the screen isn’t touch-sensitive, and for $100 for what is essentially a starter smartphone, those who aren’t sold on BlackBerry can get a larger screen for the same price or less on Android and iPhone.
