Bill Hader’s hilarious WWDC skit clones Tim Cook, kills goat simulator

With a little help from comedian Bill Hader, Apple kicked off its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco Monday morning by lampooning the extravagant hype machine of the tech world.

The 4-minute video kicked off Tim Cook’s keynote at the city’s Moscone Center, featuring Hader as an egocentric director who sees the dress rehearsal for the “original” keynote spectacular go horribly awry. The video is a bonanza of Easter eggs, in-jokes and jabs at the industry and Apple itself — unless the elevator full of Tim Cook lookalikes (the real ” Too many Cooks?”) Hader boards at one point is a nod to the way the company really believes the world should be.

Hader chastises an Angry Bird for not being angry enough, then moves on to literally Tinder-swipe through potential actors for a “dating app number” and have his coffee delivered and then spilled via a drone. The whole thing is pretty hilarious and reminiscent of this year’s Oscar winner for best picture, “Birdman.” Nerds will also appreciate the cameo by “Community” star Danny Pudi in the role of a rapping developer.
