Set to arrive on June 12, the Galaxy S6 variant offers nearly identical specifications: Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, a 16-megapixel rear camera and 32GB of internal storage.
One area that’s sure to please users is the battery, which has been enlarged to 3,500mAh, and which still supports wireless charging just like the Galaxy S6

The real benefit of the Galaxy S6
Active, however, comes in its IP68 rating, which protects against water and dust. Not only can you submerge the device in water for up to 30 minutes, it’s also equipped to withstand drops from up to four feet.
As with the Galaxy S5 Active , this S6 Active comes loaded with an app called Activity Zone, which provides quick access to a number of outdoorsy functions. Users will find shortcuts to a compass, flashlight, stopwatch, weather and more.
The Samsung Galaxy S6
Active will sell in three color options: Camo White, Camo Blue and gray. Pricing shakes out to $200 with a two-year service agreement or $695 outright.
Customers can also pair the phone with one of AT&T’s Next plans; The Next 24 plan runs $23.17 per month over 30 payments, the Next 18 plan is $28.96 over 24 payments, and the Next 12 plan is $34.75 over 20 payments.
