The new iPhones will be available through Apple’s distribution partners, specifically Ingram Micro, Redington, Rashi Peripherals and Reliance, The Times of India said.
The iPhone 6 launch in India was reportedly delayed, according to blog site Tech2. The initial launch date listed on Apple’s website was September 26. It changed to October 17 and was then removed entirely. Some rumors suggested that the new phone might not reach Indian consumers until November. As a result, models of the iPhone 6 started selling on India’s gray market at exorbitant prices.
October 17 also marks the date that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in China.
