Hey guys, am enoying your show thought I’d ask you a question or two about rooting.
First of all, why in the heck would you install a new rom every other week antuan… that’s just nuts? Really??
1) I have a Samsung Galaxy S in New Zealand, on Vodafone network. Running 2.2 Froyo. Getting close to having a crack at installing a new rom (have not looked yet, but assume they exist for my phone somewhere.) How do I backup my current phone, and if I restore it back, does that actually restore everything? What does a backup not backup?
2) If I do this, does that affect anything NZ / Vodafone specific? Like do I need to enter somewhere any network settings etc? Or does that all get managed automagically using something like the phone’s eime or whatever?
Thanks!
Mike

Hey Guys,
I have a Droid 2, and I did download the Lookout app, and it seems like it is slowing things down. Do I really need a virus protection app?
Thanks! I really enjoy your podcast!

Hello Gentlemen:
Long time listener; first time writer…
I hope this question isn’t too lame.
I have the first generation Motorola Droid.
While I do not listen to music, I do watch Android Weekly and the occasional episode of Clone Wars while waiting to get my hair cut on Saturdays.
What I can’t understand is why I don’t have the option to play sound from my phone (from the web) to my Motorola Bluetooth device?
Most of the Blogs say it’s an active feature, but I cannot find an option to enable it. Everything I read is either very vague or says I cannot do it.
PS:
I am using the Motorola model H525 Bluetooth device.
PPS:
Please comment on the base 512K memory limitation that plagues my Droid and apparently will not change on the Bionic.
HTC appears to have more then 512K available. Even with moving Apps to my card, that 512K is eaten up pretty fast!
Thanks in advance,,,
Kevin,
The problem is the H525 headset that he’s using. It doesn’t support
A2DP audio streaming. The forums are wrong.
